Fort Ancient
Fort Ancient is a museum with over 9,000 square feet of exhibits and a hands-on classroom. Outside, you will find a prehistoric-themed garden with crops that were cultivated 1000-2000 years ago, along with walking trails and 2 overlooks.
We learned about the three sisters’ farming methods, Indian tribes, and the Ice Age. It was a quick walk through the museum and a cold day outside so we didn’t explore as much as we’d have liked, but it was worth the stop. For current ticket information and hours of operation, click HERE.
